TRES COYOTES
Graphics - Engraving - Typography Workshops: Residencies. Founded in 2024 by Daniel, Felipe, and Leonardo Arias Arias. It emerged as an experiment with the language of posters, drawing on previous digital experiences and exploring traditional analog techniques such as linocut and letterpress printing. It has two card machines from the early and mid-20th century (Hamburg 11, Germany circa 1933 and Campeador, Cal circa 1970) as well as a Golding Jobber no. 6 letterpress, Boston 1898. Its Bretaña 999 intaglio press, assembled by hand, can accommodate plates up to half a sheet. Tres Coyötes is a space where the story behind each machine converges with the artistic interest associated with posters and an approach to typographic printing and the role of the engraver as a voice and author.
